The regular, gentle movement of the nets is significantly less damaging to the eggs than the unnatural constant tumbling, flipping, and jumping of eggs when kept in air- and water-powered incubators/tumblers.

Material and functionality

The Fry Factory is electric and has two nets that automatically move up and down simultaneously at regular 50-second intervals to keep the eggs moving. Thanks to the two baskets, it is possible to hatch two clutches instead of one.

The integrated stainless steel nets have a fine mesh that allows debris to easily pass through, but prevents eggs or young fish from doing so. Also, the nets ensure that the aquarium’s current draws more fresh, oxygen-rich water into the baskets.
Using the height-adjustable bracket, you can attach the Fry Factory to the top edge of the aquarium glass, allowing the two nets to float on the water’s surface. Unlike most incubators or tumblers, which are attached with suction cups and become detached over time, this incubator stays in place. Since the nets hang on the water’s surface, no lids or covers are required. This ensures that the eggs, larvae, and/or hatchlings are safe, yet easily accessible to the farmer.
