What is the Oase BioMaster? (General overview)

The Oase BioMaster is a series of innovative external filters, including models with a “HeatUp” heating element, suitable for both freshwater and marine aquariums. The major advantages of these external filters are their internal EasyClean pre-filter and large filter volume. Furthermore, there’s space in the pump for the adjustable “HeatUp” heater, which is not only safer for your fish but also makes the aquarium’s technology less visible.

All BioMaster pumps include an EasyClean pre-filter module. This innovative pre-filter consists of premium filter foam that traps suspended dirt particles. When these filter foams become clogged, they can be easily detached for cleaning or replacement, while the pump unit remains securely in place. Thanks to the clever design, there’s no need to disassemble the entire filter or spill water, saving you time and hassle.

Thanks to the locking mechanism and safety lock, you can easily disconnect the filter without spilling water. After cleaning the filter, you can effectively draw in water using the purge button to quickly restart the filter again. If the current is too strong for the aquarium, you can also adjust the flow rate with the flow regulator.

The Oase BioMaster 250 Thermo is specially designed as an external filter for aquariums up to 250 liters and comes standard with the powerful 150-watt HeatUp heating element. The included filter foams provide highly effective mechanical filtration, efficiently removing even the coarsest dirt particles. This prevents the biological filter media from clogging and ensures their effectiveness for longer.
This combination of mechanical and biological filtration ensures clear, healthy water for aquarium inhabitants.

The BioMaster 250 Thermo is also available in a standard version, which does not include the “HeatUp” heating element. Should you later decide you need a heater, the BioMaster Thermo 250’s heating element can be easily inserted, removed, or replaced in the filter. This offers considerable flexibility.

It’s also possible to replace the standard filter material with other filter media. Oase offers various types of filter media that fit perfectly in these filters. However, we strongly recommend adding nitrate resin to the filter as part of the filter material, in addition to the regular filter media, to effectively dissolve nitrates in the aquarium water and thus optimize water quality.

The BioMaster 250 Thermo comes standard with 1x BioMaster Mousse 30ppi, 2x BioMaster Mousse 20ppi, 1x Hel-X 13 Biomedium 800 ml and 4x BioMaster pre-filter mousse 30ppi.
