What is the Oase BioPlus? (General overview)

The Oase BioPlus is a series of innovative internal filters, including models with a “HeatUp” heating element, suitable for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums. The great advantage of these internal filters is their very user-friendly maintenance and the possibility to place them in the corner of the aquarium. Another great advantage is the integrated outflow, which ensures an even surface movement. This effectively prevents biofilm formation on the water surface and also ensures optimum oxygen enrichment. The filters also offer space for an adjustable heater, which is not only safer for your fish, but also ensures less visible technology in the aquarium.

All BioPlus filters contain separate filter modules. When these modules are full of dirt, they can be easily disconnected and cleaned, while the pump unit remains firmly in place. Thanks to this smart magnet system, there is no hassle with cables or hoses during maintenance, which saves a lot of time and frustration. Therefore, you do not have to dismantle the entire filter.

Extensive information about the Oase BioPlus 50:

The Oase BioPlus 50 is specially designed as an internal filter for aquariums up to 50 liters. The supplied 20ppi filter foam ensures highly effective mechanical filtration, efficiently removing the first coarse dirt particles. This BioPlus 50 contains three separate modules, specifically designed for filter material.

BioPlus 50 is also available in a thermo version, in which the “HeatUp” heating element is included. Should you later decide you need a heater, the “HeatUp” heating element can easily be installed, removed, or replaced in the Oase BioPlus 50 filter. This offers considerable flexibility.

It is also possible to exchange the standard filter material with other filter media. Oase offers various types of filter media for this purpose, which fit perfectly in these filters. However, we strongly recommend adding nitrate resin to the filter as part of the filter material in addition to the normal filter media, in order to effectively dissolve the nitrates in the aquarium water and thus optimize the water quality.

The BioPlus 50 Thermo comes standard with 1x Oase BioPlus filtermousse 20ppi blue.
