The air lifter is the most used and easiest filter operator in the aquarium hobby. It has a really good filter result for stand-alone aquariums or as an extra filter.

What is an air lifter?

An air lifter is a special developed product, which elevates water by using air pressure. This gives the aquarium water more circulation or, when placed behind a filter sponge, functions as a filter.
Because it is powered by air, no extra pump is required and therefore very economical.
The outflow of the air lifters is cut in a 45 degree angle, which makes them really quiet.

Material and manufacturing

All the air lifters are made out of plastic/pvc and therefore a long-life product.
The holes in the nozzle are machine punched. Because of this the holes are in uniform distance to each other. Furthermore, in comparison to drilling, punching the holes has the advantage that less burr is created. This means there are fewer attack points for lime and sludge.
The nozzle is one solid part, which makes it stronger and less vulnerable for breaking at the part where the air hose is put on.
