Description

eSHa gdex is a powerful and effective aquarium medicine, specially developed for the treatment of a broad spectrum of parasitic worm infections, such as skin and gill flukes (such as Gyrodactylus sp. and Dactylogyrus sp.) and against tapeworms (Cestodes). It is generally well tolerated by fish and helps them recover from the discomfort and damage caused by these parasites.
The medicine can also be used in marine fish in quarantine tanks.
20 ml is sufficient for the treatment of 300 liters of water.

In addition, gdex does not discolour or cloud (bacterial bloom) the water.

The main advantages of Manaus gdex:

  • Effective treatment against a broad spectrum of worms:
eSHa gdex effectively combats various types of skin, gill and internal worms. This will quickly rid your fish of these parasites.
  • Effective against various worm groups:
the medicine is effective against skin flukes (Gyrodactylus), gill flukes (Dactylogyrus) and tapeworms (Cestodes).
  • Mild to fish, safe to use:
the medicine is powerful against parasites but at the same time generally mild for your fish. Safe for fish, plants, shrimps, snails and filters, *if the dosage is followed correctly.
  • Suitable for a wide range of fish:
can be used safely in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums with fish and plants and with tropical and cold water fish.
  • Good tolerability:
gdex is generally well tolerated by most common freshwater aquarium inhabitants.
  • Easy to dose and apply:
the handy dropper bottle and clear instructions make it easy to determine the correct dosage and administer the medication.
  • Can be easily combined with other eSHa products:
the combination of eSHa EXIT, eSHa 2000, and eSHa gdex provides a very broad spectrum of activity.
  • Helps prevent further spread:
a prompt treatment can help stop the rapid spread of these contagious parasites in the aquarium.

Signs and symptoms of worms:

Indications of an infestation with parasites such as skin worms or gill worms include, for example:

  • Rubbing/scratching against objects or the bottom of the aquarium:
this can indicate irritation by worms.
  • Unilateral breathing:
    only one gill cover moves.
  • Spitting or yawning movements with the mouth:
may indicate irritation in the gills.
  • Loss of appetite:
this often occurs in a later stage of the infection
  • Weight loss:
despite normal or even increased appetite.
  • Squeeze the fins together.
  • Jerky or startled movements:
is often a reaction to irritation

When recognizing the above symptoms, it is important to treat the fish quickly to prevent further weakening of the animals by the parasites. If possible, confirm the diagnosis with the aid of microscopic examination.
